Winchester Model 86 - Model 1886

The Winchester Model 1886 was the strongest lever action rifle that Winchester ever made.  The Model 1886 was mostly chambered for the .45-70 government cartridge but had several variations with larger and smaller chamberings from 1886 through 1935 and subsequently in limited editions.

The 1886 was capable of digesting the .45 Gov't as well as the .45-90 and the extra large .50-110, also know as the 50 Express "buffalo"gun, and in 1903 was chambered for the high-velocity .33 WCF

This rifle was Winchesters production of John Browning's Design
